Toshiba 32hl84 - Theaterwide Hd - 32' Lcd Tv Wont Turn On?
When the power button is pressed you hear a click and the top half of the screen starts to light up then it clicks again and goes back off the power light stays on solid red the whole time.

this sounds like either the inverter board isn't lighting all the lamps inside the panel (since the bottom of the picture is darker). The inverter senses this error and shuts off. If it's the lamps that's bad then the entire LCD panel needs to be replaced, if it's the inverter it can be purchased separately: http://www.discounttvparts.com/RDENC2156TPZZ_p/bp-2067.htm
