Dx32i Compatibility

i was wondering i just purchased a dx32i not the System just the Subwoofer i'm curious can i connect the subwoofer to any Stereo or Receiver? I have a Micro Hi Fi EX-M5 stereo but it has no place in the back to connect but does have AUX & Headphone ports in the front is it possible to hook it up? My DX32i has power with a red light showing in the front any idea what that means? Please anything would help Email me if possible
