Black Screen Flashing Standby Light

I have KDF-5560 SX955 and we replaced the lamp a couple of months ago (not Sony lamp but a generic replacement lamp). Yesterday the screen went black and the Power/Standby indicator began flashing red six times, goes black then flashes red six times and on and on.When I hit the POWER button, it flashes green once then goes back to red.
