Tv Won't Come On, Standby Light Blinks
A couple days ago, the TV didn't come on but you could hear audio. Standby light was blinking. Now it won't come on at all... Standy light blinks continuously (I stopped counting at 35)

Sony has a feature that when you first turn this set on the three colors of the picture tube is measured and fine tuned to balance them. This is done in the first couple seconds and the power indicator will blink during this time. As the tube ages one of the three colors will eventually decay to the point that the TV cannot correct for the difference in the outputs. So the time of the blinking indicator will increase to the point that one day it will blink forever. A shop might be able to bring up the voltages a tad to get a couple more weeks or months, but the tube is likely the culprit, and not worth replacing.
