Sony Grand Wega

i have a sony grand wega 60 in, that will not power on.  it blinks green many times, then blinks red 5 times

this error has to do with the ballast circuit not developing the 5,000 volts to ignite the mercury vapor lamp. If it was my set I would look at the lamp door and the condition of the lamp. If the door is warped from heat then contact Sony: http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/select-system.pl?DIRECTOR=CONTACT

There are cases where the heat that warps the door may also damage the high voltage sense circuit too, and there is an extended warranty for this issue until 3/31/2012.
