Lcd Kdl40xbr45 Fault
Hi, my sony KDLXBR45 screen has becoming half screen dark? Sony centre said there are problems with this particular model. So is this a product fault as my warrranty has expired? Please advice.

if you take hold of the top corners of the TV (works best if it's been on for 15 mins or longer), then push with one hand and pull with the other slightly. Watch the picture while you are flexing the panel, if the picture goes better or worse temporarily, then it's a bad panel. This is a common problem with this model, and since Sony doesn't supply panels anymore, there is no way to repair this set. Many times Sony will offer you a deal on a new TV
