Windows 7 Won't Recognise Ic-px720 Device

I have an IC-px720 voice recorder and wish to run it on Windows 7 64bit OS. I downloaded an updated driver and software (voice editor 3.3.01). In device manager the IC is correctly identified and working properly. The system however does not recognise it as installed hardware and the voice editor cannot find it. HELP!
