Deck Will Not Eject, Play, Etc.

My DTC-670 had been working fine -- but this week loaded a DAT casette, closed it and suddenly it would not play. Now I can't eject the casette either. Suggestions? Everything powers on and lights up as always, but none of the various buttons or switches are working.
