How Do You Get Unit To Automatically Turn On Once Face Plate Is Plugged In?

Is there a way to get the unit to automatically turn on one the faceplate is plugged in - without having to hit the on/off button everytime. Also, how to get it to stop beeping every time I turn off the car. Thanks for your help. Tom
