Subwoofers Are Not On During Cd Playback

The subwoofers connected to the Sony CDX-GT25MPW work in all source modes except for the CD mode. The LPF and HPF are off and the sub phase is set to normal. In the equalizer settings the sub level setting is set to max which is +10. I cannot figure out why the bass is working for all other functions but the CD function. Thanks
