Timing Off

How do I adjust the timing. I was using the sewing machine everything was working fine until the spool of thread ran out. I put a new spool on and threaded the machine which now no longer was catching the bobbin thread. At a closer look the needle was hitting the bottom and can't figure out how to adjust the timing. Please help
