Trouble With Tension On Athena 2009. Tension Dial Tried To 9 Not Helping

Do double check that the machine is both threaded and tension-configured as per the manual here https://www.helpowl.com/manuals/Singer/Athena/179394 - it will sadly mean that the machine it somewhat mechanically unwell and due for service should the issue persist.
