- Start by winding a bobbin and inserting it into the bobbin case.
- Raise the needle to its highest position by turning the hand wheel toward you.
- Pull the presser foot up to release the pressure on the needle.
- Thread the machine starting with the upper threading.
- Begin by threading the machine's spool pin with the thread, going over the guides on the top of the machine's arm. Next thread the thread over the tension discs and through the take-up lever.
- Bring the thread down to the needle bar thread guide and thread the needle from left to right.
- To thread the bobbin case, start by pulling the thread through the slot in the bobbin case, then through the tension spring. Push the bobbin case back into the machine.
- To begin sewing, turn the hand wheel again to lower the needle, then press down on the foot pedal to start the machine.
It's important to follow the instruction manual that came with the sewing machine for the specific instructions on threading. The instruction manual will have illustrations and detailed instructions that will make the process much easier. Additionally, you can also check the manufacturer's website for any video tutorial or additional guidance.
