Cash Register Xe-a403 Stays In Not Assigned Mode
after a power failure overnight the XE-A403 cash register has not assigned and about 10 zeros in the window. we tried resetting the machine but nothing works . tried the opx/z mode setting with the receiptpo key as suggested in the manual but still nothing. its locked in that mode even after trying a clerk entry mode? any suggestions thanks

Sharp says, "Please enter a clerk code and the error will not appear." If this doesn't work, the next step is to reset (which you say you've already tried). There are two reset procedures, and if necessary you should attempt both. For instructions, expand Resetting my cash register at http://www.sharp-register.com/Default.aspx?tabid=108&Agg491_SelectTab=5. If none of the above works, your register is probably beyond repair; but to be sure, consult Sharp: use the contact information at https://www.contacthelp.com/sharp/customer-service.
