How To Set Bypass For Heavier Paper

In the future it would help if you told us if you were copying or printing.

Copying

load paper into bypass tray

on front panel select bypass tray

paper type

-select the type of paper.Heavy1 Heavy2 etc it helps if you know the weight of the paper, which you should find on the paper packaging

now you can copy. if you dont select the correct type/weight of paper many things can happen. toner wont fuse to paper( can rub or be scratched off. think what would happen if this was a cheque), paper could burn(glossy paper)

Printing

select the document, then Print Preferences

select the tab labeled PAPER - select the bypass tray, and below that select the type/weight of paper.
