Sharp Lc-20sh4u Has Red Light Will Not Turn On
When I tried to turn on my TV several times it cut right back off. I then unplugged it and now it only blinks red light and does not power up at all. Can you please tell me what this maybe?

what happens is when the unit has 5 errors with the back lights then it quits trying and just blinks. you can disconnect the two cables from the AVC to the display section, with the power button on the display turned off, press and hold the [volume down] and the [input] buttons on the top of the display then turn the power button back on, once you see the indicator turn green then release the buttons. If the screen turns on you will see a "K" on the screen. Then press the [volume down] and [channel down] buttons to enter the service menu. scroll down to the L ERR RESET then move to the right (it should say 5) then go up or down to reset it to 0. Then power the set off and reconnect the cables to the AVC unit. Once the errors count up to 5 again it will fail again. Many times the failure is the "main board" this price is around $180 plus labor (expect $180 or so).
