How To Access Drain Pump

1. Open the debris filter access panel by pressing in on the cover.Note: On some models you may need to gently pry the cover open using a coin.
2. Locate the rubber drain hose and prepare to drain the water. You will need a container large enough for the amount of water in the washer and a towel.Note: We recommend an oil drain pan.
3. Remove the plug from the drain hose and drain the water. Note: The plug can be tough to remove because it forms an airtight seal. Hold the hose and twist the cap to remove.
4. Once all the water is drained, remove the debris filter by twisting it counter clockwise.Note: On some washers, the debris filter is similar to the cap on a medicine bottle. Push in and twist to remove.
5. Wash any dirt or other material from the debris filter. Also inspect the drain pump propeller located inside the debris filter housing to make sure it is clean.Note: Make sure the rubber gasket around the debris filter is not bent or torn. Torn gaskets should be replaced.
6. Once the debris filter is clean, reinsert and twist clockwise until secured in the vertical position.
7. Place the drain cap firmly back onto the drain hose and secure the drain hose in the mounted clip before closing the access panel.
