How Do I Get A Signal From My Samsung Phone To My Rca Hdtv Led40hg45rq?

When I had an older mobile phone and an older HDTV I was able to get a signal from my phone to my tv using a MHL adapter.today I plugged my MHL adapter into my samsung phone and my RCA HDTV.all I got was a blue screen with a window saying no signal.What do I do to get a signal?

The Screen Mirroring feature lets you wirelessly beam your photos, videos, presentations, or even your video games to your big screen. You can connect to any HDTV using Samsung HomeSyncT82;, or you can connect directly to a supported Samsung Smart TVT82;

You can turn on your HomeSync Screen Mirroring feature by opening the HomeSync app on your mobile device. Touch More options > Screen Mirroring. Your device's screen is now displayed (mirrored) on the TV or monitor.

To disconnect from Screen Mirroring, open the Notification Panel on your mobile device by swiping your finger from the top of the screen to the bottom. TouchScreen Mirroring is enabled. To end the connection and turn Screen Mirroring off, touch End connection. Or touch the slider to turn Screen Mirroring off .

From a Device Without the HomeSync App

You can use the Screen Mirroring feature with devices that do not have the HomeSync app installed. On the HomeSync, open Apps > Screen Mirroring . Your HomeSync displays instructions for activating Screen Mirroring on your Samsung device. Turn on Screen Mirroring on your mobile device, and select your HomeSync from the list of available devices. The name of your HomeSync appears at the bottom of the instructions displayed on your HDTV or monitor.
