Detailed Diagram Of Samsung Galaxy S 4g Sgh-t959p Mainboard

telus samsung galaxy fascinate (samsung galaxy s 4g) [sgh-t959p]looking at the mainboard with the Broadcom BCM4329 facing up, & charger input port at the top.about half an inch to the left of the charger port, there is a silver metal chassis holding in what looks to be a small watch-style battery. what exactly is this?

Based on your image, the metal round thing looks like a lithium battery. This actually the battery that maintains the date and time of your Samsung SGH-T959 device even if turned off or battery is removed. This is like a CMOS battery on desktop computers.
