Television Problem

When I 1st purchased the is Tv there was a full huge black square box right in the center/ middle of the Tv. It occurred about 5 times when I had 1st turned it on before it finally disappeared. What was the issue?

Could have been a power supply issue, or a poor connection to the backlight lamps. Some TV's have rows of lights and others have a bottom row which lights as in a laptop. If the fault has gone away then try not to lose sleep unless it comes back. Any poor connection between the display PCB, albeit temporary, will cause odd symptoms. Consulting an engineer may give you satisfaction.
