How have you tried to dry the unit out? Using a hair dryer is not always a good way. The could still be residual moisture inside. You could try putting the unit into a bowl of rice as this will absorb moisture. If you haven't removed the battery I would suggest doing so ASAP. Leaving the battery in will allow the circuitry to destroy itself. The only other option is replacement.
