Ridgid Wd 18510 Cap Nuts Don't Fit Axle.

Brand new Ridgid WD 18510 but the cap nuts don't seem to fit axle.

Yes, they do, but it'll take a fair amount of time to achieve results. I found that I needed a regular hammer - not a hard-rubber mallet - to continually and not-so-gently strike the metal cap nuts until they sat properly. You'll know a cap is on when you hear a different, lower-pitched sound at that last strike of the hammer head. Also, I used a block of wood at the other end for this little task.  [Ian G., New Jersey]
