Hello, this message typically means the toner cartridge is used up and needs to be replaced. If you've recently replaced the toner and you know it doesn't need to be replaced, take the cartridge out, shake it gently back and forth several times, clean the contacts (the gold rectangles) on both the cartridge and inside the printer, and then reinstall the print cartridge.
If you've just installed a new print cartridge and you're getting this message, take the cartridge out, follow the steps above, and check to be sure all of the packing material -- plastic tape, plastic retainers, styrofoam pieces, etc. -- has been removed. If the error persists, you may have a defective cartridge.
