My Rca Tablet Will Not Come On Or Hold A Charge

I have tried everything but take it apart. It went off and has yet to come on. I have tried resetting it...didn't work. Will not show anything but an empty battery with a yellow triangle with an exclamation Mark in it....for like half a second...so apparently its not holding a charge.... Please help

Hi. If you are out of warranty, take it apart in part to access the battery, disconnect the battery leads going to the tab and apply a 5V charge directly to the battery for 5 minutes or so using an old phone charger or USB cable (you can cut the pin off and access the - and + leads). Reconnect the battery to the tab when done and try powering it on and observe. You charging issue could lie any where between the battery and the system board.
