Does This Model Need Speakers

I am trying to set up my system and when I try and play my records, it sounds like the chipmonks. It is not loud... Do i need speakers or should it play outloud by itslef I tried plugging it into a radio system AUX outlet it did not work either! Thanks so much Julie

You may have the playing speed set too fast. On the right side there should be 35,45, and 78. If you change the playing speed t should sound better.
