Faulty Voice Commands

Just purchased the Plantronics Voyager Legend Bluetooth. It has been fully charged and paired succesfully with my Droid Razr Maxx. When I attempted to make an outgoing call-- instead of accepting any voice commands, it continues to call a number with an area code 831-- a number which I have never called. I read the directions to see if I was missing a step and followed the directions to a T (which I was doing anyway). Has anoyone else ahd this issue? Does anyone have a solution? Or did I just end up with a faulty piece?
