I Had A Very Difficult Time With Pier 1 In Jantzen Beach, Oregon And Need Help W
11/1/16 I shopped at pier 1, Jantzen Beach, Oregon. I bought a large metal easel (skew # 2774651) to display a large bowl I also bought. When I got home, it was not in my bags with my other items. I called the store and was kept on hold for more than 15 minutes and was told there were "customers in the store" (somehow I was not considered a customer, despite buying $197.00 items there. Eventually the manager got on the phone and responded to my concern by telling me that there is that easel in the store if I wanted to go get it. I explained I am in WA, not OR and did not want to drive back. After pressing her, she agreed to refund me for the item missing and she would email me a copy of the refund. I have NOT received the promised email - please see that I receive it as refund to my pier 1 card. AND please look into a problem that appears to be very large in that store. The clerk responsible was an older man who clearly did not want to check out my large order and it is no wonder that one item was missing from the bags. And, that manager was so inept!! I pressed and pressed her to get a refund without having to drive back to Oregon. She did not even consider looking at my sales slip which I was sure was at the store since I had checked out only two hours before my call AND she did not follow through by emailing the refund promised. I certainly will NEVER return to the Oregon store and there were only 2 customers there when I shopped. My sales slip is the following: store 0581 Transaction 6461 date: 11/1/1610:57 am. Please investigate this and rectify appropriately.Geraldine Hurst

- Complain to one of the applicable consumer agencies, as listed at https://www.usa.gov/state-consumer/

- Consider a complaint site like https://www.gripeo.com/ or http://www.consumeraffairs.com/, each of which is designed to get action from the offending companies.
