Screen Problems With My Phillips 52pfl7403d/f7

The picture has great color, but a shifted image of the picture flashes intermittently. Also, if viewed from no more than 4 feet away from the screen black dots pepper the screen in random places at random intervals. I have tried all different inputs with different equipment and cables, and reseated the cables on the internal boards. I have also left it unplugged from for about 2 months. I have also upgraded the firmware to the latest firmware available on the Phillips website. In addition, I have tried setting all settings which can be configured back to factory default. I have a 9 second video of the flashing, but the system will not let me upload it.

Your issue sounds more hardware borne and the fix to it will involve something like this www.youtube.com/watch?v=i-jQZ-TQdgU. At any rate, head over to badcaps.net (a more TV dedicated forum) to avail the best free help on your issue. I am assuming you are handy as you will have to be ready to take the set apart at their word for various tests and ultimate repair work - otherwise, you will need the help of a TV technician at this stage.
