Is Panasonic Th-50phd6 Display.same As A Tv?

The Panasonic TH-50PHD6 is a High Definition Plasma Display.
It will work as a TV when connected to a receiver box. It has no internal TV tuner.
It will also connect to a PC, DVR, DVD, or many other video components.
