Picture On The Vcr Player
When playing a VCR, the sound is perfect but the picture continues to roll as if it is not in sync.

Try to use a head cleaner, if the video heads get clogged then it will affect the video. Check that the tape is correct for your TV system and also make a recording on a blank tape. Then play it back to see if it is ok. Another method is to run a 3hr tape through the machine on play for the length of the tape. Use a non important tape, maybe a cheap charity shop tape. The soundtrack is linear so less likely to be problem.
