can i change the lamp in this tv and if so what is the procedure

You cannot even order the lamp without prior approval from the technical assistance from Panasonic (the service technician even needs this approval), to replace it you must pull out circuit boards to get to it. this model is not designed to be a consumer replaceable part, and the price is in the $500 range. that's why it's still under warranty.
