Panasonic Hdcsd800 Does Not Connect To My Pc.

When connecting the camcorder to the PC via the USB cable I click 'connect to PC'. Then I receive the message 'READ ONLY' on the camcorders display. The camcorder is not recognised by the PC and nothing else happens.   It has worked earlier but not after I deleted videorecordings and started new recordings.
