Cordless Driver Faulty

The driver was working fine but on a rainy day it sopped working. It does a strange thing. After 24 hrs not use, it turns on for about 10 second on problem. Then stops. Have to wait another 24 hrs to get it running again. it turns on for 10 sec only then it stops. Batteries fully charged, no problem with batteries. any suggestions?
