Nordictrack E4.0 Resistance Not Working Properly

Dear Expert There seems to be a problem with our Nordictrack E4.0 crosstrainer. We bought it 2 years ago. The resistance of the crosstrainer does not work properly anymore. Even though the resistance is set to 1, the resistance stays much higher than that level. How can we fix this? Thanks in advance Fred
