Ripped Off By Dealer
I have owned a 2005 Xterra for five years. Although we have been extremely happy with our car and the service we have received, it was time to trade it in to buy a new car. Although the salesman told us they would give us $10,000 trade in for the Xterra, they actually added the 10,000 into the loan. We bought a 2011 Pathfinder LE and including the trade, the price should have been approximately $31,000. Instead the price was $41,000 The financing rate is 1.9%. It was my fault that I signed the loan but once I got home, my husband caught the fact that they took the Xterra and then added the $10,000 "trade in" into my loan. So now I am paying off a car that the dealership owns. Extremely unethical. My husband is going to talk with the dealership tomorrow and I hope they either give us back the Xterra or the $10,000 we are paying off for the car. We are a military family and this is no way to treat the military or anyone for that matter. The dealership is Bates Nissan in Killeen, Texas.
