Suggestions For Fixing Brake And Battery Light Coming On At The Same Time

My car's battery and brake light are both on when I start the car, but it runs fine. I believe something may have come loose from hitting potholes, but I can't tell what. Any suggestions?

Hello, according to this forum thread and this one, the consensus seems to be that a failing alternator is the most likely cause (though not the only possible one). If you're having your alternator checked out, you should also have the battery inspected while you're there.
