Crank No Start
Changed alternator, went to start car started 2seconds shut off, cranks no start, indicator lights do not turn on when key is turned also headlights don't come on, have tail and parking lights

Since you changed the alternator I guess you were having charging problems. Check your wiring to the battery, clean the posts , if it still doesn't have enough power to power the headlights or instrument panel your battery may have a dead cell.

Thank you for answering very quickly. We actually did that as standard whenever we work and disconnect the battery. I did find the problem later as I was elininating possiblities. The problen was in the fuse block alongside the battery. Checking for power I found that the main fuse was blown. How we blew a 100amp fuse is beyond me. put a pigtail 15amp fuce across the contacts and tried. got all cluster (idiot) lites to light, crossed fingers and hit the start--fired right up all lites went out even turned AC on and the fuse held. Picture me scratching head. Thanks again..Joe
