How To Create One Network With A R6300 Ac Router And A Motorola Surfboard Cable

I would like to create a single network with my Motorola Surfboard CAble moden and my R6300. I have two devices that need to use the USB ready print option. I only need one Wireless entry point. I have 3 hardwired network print and scanner devices and 3 Macs along with 3 ipads and 3 iphones that are connected via wireless.
