Getting Photo's From Phone To Computer?

 want to know how to get the photo's copied from my phone onto a computer?  I have a USB cable that connects but it won't download them, what software do I need?

The only way I know of to transfer pics from 408 to your computer is to find an email service that supports MMS messaging (yahoo and google dont) that's Not SMS messaging, but MMS
