Instrument Bel Above Rear View Mirror

why is the wrench staying lit up on my 2001 mercury cougar xr7 6cyl. what does this mean, have had alot of work done on it already. doesn't seem to have any obvious problems except when it's wet out. have to engage engine and run thru gears a few times.

it means schedule maintenance time, if you need to reset it Start car, and hold the "Select" and "Units" down for 5 seconds to clear it.
