Transmission Troubles, Need Help.

My girlfriend has a 1998 Mercury Mountaineer, 5.0 AWD and she got into an accident. The transmission grinds after 3rd gear. When it's around 55 MPH, the RPM is at 5,500. After the accident, the transmission was knocked out of line. Can someone give me the specs for the transmission alignment, and if there is anything else wrong with it.  Please, and thank you.
