Mah5500b Hesitates A Few Minutes After Watet Fills Before Starting Cycle.

why does my maytag mah 5500b delay for a few minutes before it begins to run. It fills right away, but the cycles doesn't start for a few minutes. We never used the delay with button.

Most washers today have a short soaking period before the wash cycle begins.
