Adjust the sensitivity: Try adjusting the sensitivity settings to increase the echo and improve the clarity of the readings. Increasing the sensitivity can help the fish finder detect weaker echoes, which can help it detect the bottom.
Lower the frequency: Lowering the frequency can also help improve the clarity of the readings and make it easier to detect the bottom. Try adjusting the frequency settings to see if it improves the performance.
Check the transducer placement: Make sure that the transducer is installed and positioned properly. It should be level and pointing straight down, and not obstructed by anything like weeds or debris.
Use a different angle: Try adjusting the angle of the transducer. Sometimes, changing the angle can help improve the performance and detect the bottom more easily.
Check the depth range: Make sure that the depth range is set correctly. If the depth range is set too shallow, the fish finder may not be able to detect the bottom.
