Warranty Purchased Dec. 2007 For Whirlpool Fridge. Is It Still In Effect?

The chances are that your Whirlpool refrigerator was out of warranty in December 2011 because the 4 year Lowe's extended warranty is not an extension of the time past the manufacturer's limited warranty, it is an extension of that warranty in the scope of coverage.

A manufacturer typically only covers defects in materials and workmanship. An Extended Protection Plan does this, plus protects against power surges, environmental factors, such as heat, dust and humidity, and failures caused by normal wear and tear.
I'm sorry, at the time it seems to logical to assume that you have an additional 4 years past the first manufacturer's year or two.
