On My Lexmark 260d, The Load Paper Light Will Not Turn Off And I Can't Print?

The load paper light will not turn off on our Lexmark 260d after we load paper and shut the drawer.  We can't print.  Any suggestions?

Tray 1 is the default factory settings for the printers paper source, check the print settings of your word processor. Make sure that the paper source is set to Tray 1.

To do this, please follow the steps below.

  1. With a document open, click File > Print.
  2. Click Properties > Paper tab.
  3. Set the correct input options like the correct paper size, paper tray and paper type and click OK.
  4. Click OK
