Power Cord Plugged In But Battery Not Charging. Bad Display Resolution
This is a new Lenovo V560 laptop bought at Bestbuy for my grandmom who is leaving to India in 4 days. I bought the laptop about a 25 ago. I woke up this morning to see that the laptop display resolution has changed and the battery does not charge anymore. I see a message that says "Plugged in, not charging". I am suspecting a BIOS problem since the display and the battery are both affected.
I cannot return the laptop to bestbuy since they have a 14 day return policy. My grandmom is leaving to India in 4 days and the problem has to be fixed immediately. Please let me know what I should be doing. You can call me on 973 204 8808.

Hi,
Have you tried draining the power of your unit? If not, here's how you will do it.
1. Turn off the unit. You may also try pressing the power button for about 10 seconds to turn it off completely.
2. Now, unplug the adaptor from the power outlet.
3. Remove the battery from the system.
4. Press the power button for about 15-20 seconds.
5. Put back the battery in and plug the adaptor to the power outlet.
6. Turn on the system and observe it.
