Intermittent Power
I have to move power cable jack to get laptop to charge. Is there an issue with power cable or do I have a dry solder joint on the laptop power connector?

Greetings - Atleast something must have an issue and calls for a trouble shooting.
You can try and borrow a friend's adapter to try see what could be faulty (wether the charger slot or adapter cable/pinhead). The pin slot's machanism may have gotten slightly damaged. Or one wire line in the adapter cable on the pin's side on the other hand may be the one that has suffered hurt and now needs to be manuvered to get right (this has been the case with a friend's hp adapter cable at one time). You can either have the adapter replaced after making diagnosis and found it faulty or cut out off the pin head and put on a one if you can possibly find one from your nearest compute repairs shop.
