Power Issues
When I plug in the monitor, the red power light comes on for about 1 second, then makes a quiet electronic sound before turning off again, and is completely unresponsive. I have unplugged and plugged it back in several times, getting the same effect almost every time (sometimes the light doesn't come on at all). Tapping the power sensor button thing does nothing. Help please.

Hi, based on my research and experience, there are two reasons why this might be happening.
Your power cable may be incompatible with your monitor. Sometimes monitors need the exact power cable that it belongs to and won't accept third party cables.
The other reason why you might be encountering this problem is because there is no input source, meaning there is nothing for the monitor to display. If there is nothing for the monitor to display, it will power itself off. To get around this, you'll have to connect the monitor to something like a computer or game console through the display ports which can be an hdmi or dvi cable.
If there is a input source connected to the monitor, you'll have to be quick and switch to the correct input source before the monitor powers itself off.
