I would recommend is going into the High Definition settings on the box, go to Output Resolution, and make sure that only 1080i has the dot in front of it. If others have dots in front of them, highlight them, press OK/Select to remove the dot. When only 1080i has the dot, use the "C" button twice on the remote to save and exit.
Sometimes what happens is many of the resolution options are checked, and each time you change a channel, it goes through each setting to figure out which one the box likes best. This can cause quite a delay. Thankfully the box is usually smart enough that if you told it to go to only 1080i, and it cannot, it will choose the next best option.
