Manufacturers occasionally change their pedestals to be more appealing aesthetically or store more. There should not be a difference as to what machines you can use them with (LG machines, of course) but there may be a difference between the two as far as looks. For instance, I know last year's Samsung pedestals were squared off on the edges whereas this year's models are rounded.
